Sleeper Talent Bus Rentals
Production companies rent a sleeper bus for talent when they need to travel long distances between locations. Many sleeper bus rentals for celebrities or talent are for music tours or film shoots that are filming across large distances. Although these distances are large, they are often close enough that flying would either be prohibitive to the production or band schedule or not possible.
Sleeper buses may seem narrower on the inside compared to typical buses. They are equipped with luxury accommodations. Essentially, these buses incorporate the elements of a home or hotel room within them. Accommodations may include seats, plumbing and showers, bunk beds, kitchens, and refrigeration facilities. Many sleeper buses also come with computers and televisions. The bus company tailors these features to match the desires and needs of the talent renting it.
The arrangement of the amenities inside sleeper buses differs from bus to bus. A popular arrangement places the beds on the top level of the bus. All other amenities—sitting areas, kitchen areas, and more—are located on the lower level. Another design allows seats in the seating areas to convert into beds, increasing space and enhancing versatility. Such designs often include dividers to increase privacy for those wishing to sleep.
Clearly, people often view a sleeper bus as a luxurious option reserved for the very wealthy or fortunate. In the United States, celebrities or talent most often use sleeper buses for transportation. Although some countries have worked such accommodations into land travel tours, the US very rarely ever does so. Sleeper buses cater to those who need to travel long distances and require sleep during the journey. A band, for example, will often go on tour for weeks or even months at a time. Depending on the distances between concerts, the band will, in essence, live on the bus for the entirety of the tour. Therefore, comfortable accommodations that create the possibility for sleep and relaxation are an absolute necessity.
Sleeper buses provide an excellent opportunity for a band or other talent to combine travel with the very important life elements of sleeping, relaxation, and eating. The performance lifestyle often demands using all twenty-four hours in a day, even when it’s not ideal. There is simply not enough time in a busy production schedule to allow for a flight between tour appearances or a night in a hotel room before traveling to the next spot. Sleeper talent bus rentals are not an option. It is probably a necessity.
Sleeper buses make it possible for band members and other talents to travel while still receiving rest and care similar to that they would receive in a land hotel. For celebrities on the road who are constantly going, the sleeper bus is not a luxury – it is a necessity.
